A Free Healthcare Network for the Working Uninsured

AccessHealth, a program managed by Great Basin Primary Care Association, links the working uninsured residents of Nevada to an affordable network of health care providers and community resources.  This program assists community members with access to a coordinated and efficient system of care for the uninsured at significantly reduced fees from our generous network of providers.

Learn About the Program   Membership is Free   Our Health Care Network

Are you or your family members without medical insurance?  Paying "Out of Pocket" for needed medical care?

AccessHealth membership and services are free.  This is NOT an insurance company, but a non-profit community service which links you to a network of generous health care providers offering our members significantly reduced fees for medical care.  Our members who are paying "out of Pocket" for their care save money and receive assistance from our team of case managers and referral specialist.

The goal of AccessHealth is to coordinate application assistance in public programs and AccessHealth membership. Members are assigned to a medical home and specialty referrals that make a broader range of reduced health care services available. This frees up health care providers and their staff and gives them more time to spend on patient care.

You may think that the uninsured only live in certain areas of Nevada, or that we are not all impacted.  Or even worse, you may ask, “Why should I care?”  We must all care.

The harsh reality is that the uninsured are our friends, co-workers and neighbors and those who are impacted by loss of jobs, illness, or part-time jobs and employers who do not offer coverage.

Many uninsured families and individuals find themselves with no other way to get needed care except to visit the over crowded emergency rooms when they are sick.  AccessHealth members enroll in a primary care home where they receive comprehensive and quality health care at a price they can afford.  This allows them to have preventative care and manage chronic disease which saves money in their future and helps to have a healthier life.

AccessHealth CORE VALUES and PRINCIPLES

There are no fees to our members for our services.  As working uninsured, most AccessHealth members struggle to participate in the cost of their healthcare even at these reduced rates.  In order to continue assisting the members, grow the network of providers and sustain the program, we need your help.

The Program Expands!
Today, the program is expanding to Phase 2 from the successful pilot project located and serving qualified uninsured citizens in the southern part of Nevada.  With the assistance of a generous community, AccessHealth will serve 12,000 working uninsured citizens by 2009.

Jorge  works hard repairing electrical engines. He cannot afford health insurance for his wife and three children.

Today Jorge and his family can afford health care services, thanks to their AccessHealth membership. The children are now part of a free immunization program and pediatric physicals offered to the community twice a month. They all have primary care, medicines, dental services and specialty services at a price they can afford. Jorge says that being members of AccessHealth links his family with safe and affordable medical services. This gives him the peace of mind that he needed. He wants to thank all the people at AccessHealth for their wonderful work!
