LEADERSHIP: Community at Work

The AccessHealth Advisory Council’s main role is to advise Great Basin Primary Care Association and AccessHealth on the provision of services linking the uninsured to a network of affordable care.  The council members will assist in the development of a comprehensive strategic plan, evaluates the implementation of that plan, and contributes to the development of a long term sustainability plan.

Council Member Roles

• Voice of the constituency they represent, insight and perspectives of the health care system

• Support and serve as an advocate for AccessHealth

• Promote public awareness of the gaps in services for the uninsured

• Make recommendations for program operations, services, network development, outreach and care coordination

• Provide a sounding board for new ideas, initiatives and strategic directions

• Act as an “Agent of Reality” in matters regarding local community concerns, issues and special populations

• Share expertise and experience in fields related to the uninsured and access to care
