INFORMATION: Frequently Asked Questions
 

1.   Is AccessHealth a medical insurance program? 
NO! It is not an insurance, rather AccessHealth links it’s members access to a provider network where affordable, reduced fees are offered.  Learn more about this program by browsing through the website.

 2.   How do I qualify for an AccessHealth membership? 
Details are outlined in this website - click on "Free Membership".

 3.   How can I apply for AccessHealth membership?  All individuals in a household (adults and children) are eligible for membership if they qualify - click on "Free Membership" for application information.

 4.   Can we be members if my employer provides health insurance but it costs too much for my family? 
As an employee who is provided health insurance, you will not be eligible. Your spouse and children, if they meet the program qualifications, are eligible.

 5.   What will I have to pay? 
Membership is free.  Health care services are not.  You must pay at time of service in order for you to get the reduced fees from the network of providers.   Provider fees may vary based upon the specialty and services needed.  The AccessHealth referral specialist will inform you of how much the fee will be before your appointment.  There will be no surprises!

 6.   What services are part of the network? The AccessHealth network of providers include: primary care, specialists, hospitalization, radiology, laboratory services, dental and referral to pharmacy discount programs.  You can review the list of categories of care in our network by clicking "Providers for Members".

 7.   What providers are part of the AccessHealth network? 
To find out if a specific provider is part of the network call AccessHealth.

 8.   What if I need to see a specialist? 
All of your health care needs are coordinated through your primary care provider who will refer you to a specialist.

 9.   Are any services excluded? 
No services are actually excluded, however, since the network of providers is based on their generosity to assist the uninsured in our community, there may be limitations.  We are enrolling new providers daily!

Public Insurance

AccessHealth is not an insurance program.  However, we can assist with the application process for those who qualify for Medicaid or Nevada Check-Up.
