Great Basin Primary Care Association

Great Basin Primary Care Association (GBPCA) is a federally funded non-profit membership organization that was founded in 1995.

GBPCA serves 330 funded and prospective federally qualified health centers, tribal health centers, other primary care clinics, and safety-net providers throughout the State of Nevada.

Provides support in the use of technology, training, and education programs through development of the annual training plan; manages GBPCA’s membership and web site; additional area of focus is emergency preparedness. Scott is also a trained chronic disease self-management lay leader.

Assists health centers and community partners in meeting the needs of special populations such as migrant and seasonal farmworkers, homeless and marginally housed populations. John will be a certified application counselor for the Navigator and Enrollment Assister project. John is also a chronic disease self-management lay leader.

Coordinates Outreach and Enrollment activities in Northern Nevada for Nevada Health Link Insurance Exchange and HRSA grants. Elicia will be a certified application counselor for the Navigator and Enrollment Assister project. She also provides administrative support to the CEO and board of directors.

Leads the Unmet Primary Care Needs Assessment project. Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date understanding of national and state health policies and the implications for our members. Member of the Statewide Data Sharing Workgroup, and data resource manager for the Association. Areas of focus are health policy and eligibility.
