Health Reform Spotlight
What you need to know...today!
Together, the
Patient Protection and Affordable Care
Act and the
Reconciliation Bill
make unprecedented investments in Community Health Centers and
fundamentally change the country's health insurance and health
care delivery systems. The dramatic expansion of insurance
coverage and Medicaid will mean more people can afford to seek
the primary and preventive care that health centers provide.
The new law's direct investment in health centers and in the
primary care workforce, payment protections for health centers,
and other key policy changes will provide a necessary backbone
of support as the Federal Health Centers Program continues to
grow to serve millions of new patients in thousands of new
communities nationwide.
