Membership in GBPCA provides a full complement of benefits including:All members are eligible to be on the Board of Directors and its standing Committees. Members give input at our annual membership meetings and through representation on our standing Committees. The Board of Directors is instrumental in guiding policy decisions of the Association toward achieving its goals. Peer-to-peer networking through member meetings Promote media coverage of National Health Center Week GBPCA publishes data and reports such as the study of Nevada’s uninsured population to serve as a foundation of information. GBPCA procures funds to assist members in enhancing their capacity to provide comprehensive primary care services and initiates innovative programs to improve the delivery of primary care and oral health services to underserved Nevadans. We continually expand the capacity of the association to assist members in achieving their fiscal and staffing goals. Assist communities with applications for new and expanded community health centers in Nevada As a liaison to the media, policy-makers, and funders, GBPCA helps members tell their stories about underserved communities and the incomparable work of community health centers. Policy and AdvocacyBeing a voice for the underserved at the table of national, regional, state and local coalitions and organizations. GBPCA is an influential watchdog in Nevada for the uninsured and underinsured populations.Educates policy makers at the state and federal levels while monitoring, analyzing, and influencing policy development to promote our vision of access to comprehensive, quality primary health care services in all communities throughout Nevada . Levels of Membership
Organizational Members - Annual Dues $500Organizational members of GBPCA are to be Federally Qualified Health-Centers (FQHC) including Community Health Centers, Tribal Health Centers, Migrant Health Centers, Health Care for the Homeless Programs and Health Services for Residents of Public Housing Programs which serve Nevadans. Associate Members - Annual Dues $250 Associate members of the GBPCA are safety-net providers of health care who, although are not FQHC's but provide services regardless of the patient's ability to pay such as a sliding fee scale. Other organizations or agencies that demonstrate a commitment to the mission of GBPCA through programs, activities or advocacy that support the provision of comprehensive health care services to underserved, uninsured or underinsured populations.
