 | Nevada Primary
Care Handbook (also available on CD)
The Nevada Primary Care Handbook gives an overview of health care
providers who deliver basic health services to medically-underserved
people. These providers make up the safety-net health care system for
people, who for various reasons have limited access to essential health
care. Uninsured individuals, low-income families, Native Americans, Nevada
migrant workers and homeless people all can fit within this definition of
medically-underserved populations. The handbook also includes a summary
description of each of these groups. |

AccessHealth
AccessHealth
is an outgrowth of the Clark County Health Access Consortium and is
managed by Great Basin Primary Care Association. The
Clark County Health Access Consortium upon review of a needs assessment
of Clark County came to a consensus that the uninsured/underserved
population did not have access to a coordinated, effective, and
efficient health care delivery system for this population. AccessHealth
was created out of this perceived and real need.
Oral
Health Access to Care In response to the Nevada Legislature passage of SB 133, which creates
three new licensing options, none of which require the applicant to
take the Nevada Clinical Dental Examination. Details
