PATRICIA
DURBIN
Executive Director, Great Basin Primary Care Association
Patricia serves as Executive Director of Great Basin
Primary Care Association and has responsibility for
implementation of GBPCA’s long-range and short-term
goals. As the Chief Executive Officer, Ms.
Durbin has responsibilities for administration,
program oversight, and all aspects of management of
this non-profit agency. She has been
instrumental in the development and operations of
many of the PCA’s special projects including one of
the first successful dental clinics in an
underserved rural area of Nevada as well as the
design and implementation of this Specialty Care
Network for the working uninsured in Las Vegas. Ms. Durbin
is a graduate of the 2007 Johnson & Johnson/UCLA Executive Healthcare
Program. She maintains her permanent home in Carson City, Nevada. You

KAREN
STITT
CFO, Great Basin Primary Care
Association
Karen has been involved with
Great Basin Primary Care Association since 1995 at its inception.
She currently serves as the CFO for the organization and has
responsibility for all accounting and financial reporting, federal
financial reporting and financial oversight of the various programs
of GBPCA.
Ms. Stitt served for twelve years as a senior manager with Kafoury,
Armstrong & Company (the largest local CPA firm in Nevada) specializing in
healthcare and nonprofit audits, cost report preparation and consulting.
Ms. Stitt has served as a consultant to various not-for-profit organizations
as a volunteer for over 20 years.
Ms. Stitt holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Eastern
Michigan University. She has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant
since 1980. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and
the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants. For the last 16 years,

LINDA
CANDELARI
Southern Nevada Programs Manager. Great Basin Primary Care
Association
Linda serves as the Program Manager for AccessHealth and is supervising the
project through expansion and sustainability. She has been the Community Development Associate at Great Basin Primary
Care Association since September 2003. During this time, Linda served as the Coordinator for the
Public Health Preparedness Project and in a support capacity for several programs and projects
including collaborative ventures as well as
development of new oral health access points. GBPCA hosts several major
events for which Linda serves as coordinator including a biannual Access
to Care Symposium bringing into dialogue safety-net organizations and
agencies from across the state and Safety-net Provider Days which
facilitates education and advocacy with the Nevada Legislators.

JENNIFER
BENEDICT
Public Policy Analyst, Great Basin
Primary Care Association
Jennifer joined Great Basin Primary Care Association in December 2004 as the
Public Policy Analyst, thus making her accountable for all policy-related
issues affecting health care, both locally and nationally.
Coalition development is also part of Ms. Benedict’s focus. She represents
GBPCA on the Human Services Network, the Nevada Women’s Lobby, the Nevada
Health Care Reform Network, the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada,
and the Washoe County Access to Health Care Network, among others.
Ms. Benedict’s educational background has provided her with extensive
experience in research. While completing her Masters Degree, she developed a
qualitative research project involving grandparents who were raising their
grandchildren in order to determine how modern policies were helping or
hindering their care giving efforts. The results of that project are still
being used throughout New York City today.
Ms. Benedict holds her Bachelors in Social Work from the University of
Nevada, Reno and her Masters of Science in Social Work, with an emphasis on
policy, from Columbia University in the City of New York. She resides in
Reno, Nevada.

MISTY
LEVIS
Communications
Manager, Great Basin Primary Care Association
Misty joined Great Basin Primary Care Association as the
Communications Manager and Information Technology
Assistant who also
provides
service to the AccessHealth Program in Las Vegas. Misty is
responsible for maintaining over 30 individual computer systems and 3 small
business servers in four locations across the state including all aspects of
hardware and software procurement, set-up, maintenance and installations.
She is often found with a phone to her ear lending technical assistance to
staff, members and associates utilizing the high tech environment that has
paved the way in networking Nevada’s safety-net and the PCA’s vast
collection of publications, analysis, meeting management and advocacy tools. Ms.
Levis is in the process of developing an in-service training program
especially designed to assist staff in the customized applications of the
Association.

DALENE
ALTAMIRANO
Executive Assistant and Grants Manager, Great
Basin Primary Care Association
Dalene joined
Great Basin Primary Care Association in October 2003 as Assistant to the
Executive Director, Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer.
Dalene also serves as office and facility manager
for GBPCA’s Carson City office as well as coordinates with satellite
locations in Reno, Yerington and Las Vegas. She assists the CFO in
accounting and human resources for the agency, and the Deputy Director in
support of program operations.
Prior to
Great Basin Primary Care Association Dalene worked for Western Nevada
Development District as Executive Assistant to the Director from July 2001
to October 2003. From October 1991 through June 2001 Dalene held numerous
positions in a
fast-paced environments assisting upper management. She attended Career
College of Northern Nevada from 11/1989 through 12/1991.

ROBERT
WHITE
MIS Director,
AccessHealth Program
Robert White is the MIS Director for the
AccessHealth program in Las Vegas. He is responsible for
maintaining the database, hardware/software installation and
upkeep, and all other IT issues around the office. Robert
enjoys hard work and helping others. He has been able to
accomplish of these by joining the AccessHealth team. In
order to see AccessHealth expand and reach out to more people,
his goal is to help increase the efficiency and productivity of
the program by using current technologies. Originally from
Texas, Robert grew up in a small town just outside of Houston.
After high school, he earned his Bachelors of Business
Administration from Sam Houston State University majoring in

ZULMA MUNOZ
Quality Assurance and Provider
Relations Administrator, AccessHealth Program
Zulma serves the program as
the Provider Relations Administrator and ensures quality of
service to all our members. Her healthcare background has
added a high degree of coordination with all our provider
network including extensive experience in our hospital systems.
She is a 13 year resident of Las Vegas, originally from Southern
California. Zulma is well respected by her colleagues and the
Las Vegas community. She is known for her strong work ethic,
and volunteer work in the Latino Community. In her spare time,
Zulma enjoys reading and keeping in touch with family and
friends. Zulma is a single mother of two children and proudly
accepts the challenges of motherhood and climbing the ladder of
professional success.

JESSICA THOMAS
Enrollment and Referral Specialist,
AccessHealth Program
Jessica serves as our Enrollment and Referral Specialist and is an
18 year native of the Las Vegas area. She has seen many changes over
the years in Las Vegas. Jessica has been with Access Health for 4
months where she started as an Administrative Assistant before
climbing to her present position. She comes to Access Health with
many years of customer service in the casino industry ranging from
hotel guest services, casino marketing to VIP services at the world
famous Las Vegas Hilton. Jessica’s ambition and dedication to great
customer service makes her a great asset to AccessHealth.
Jessica enjoys here new home and co-workers at Access Health and
looks forward to many years to come within the company.

GISELLE WOLFE
Bi-lingual Membership Representative, AccessHealth Program
Giselle is the Bi-Lingual Membership Representative for Great Basin Primary
Care Association’s AccessHealth Program in Las Vegas. Ms. Wolfe has over 20
years administrative and supervisory experience, mostly in the Health Care
Industry. She is also an interpreter and translator of both English and
Spanish. Ms.
Wolfe is a proud member of the American Translators Association and the
Honor
Society of the United States. The thing she loves the most is doing
volunteer work for the Community. She
has found a home in the AccessHealth Program, where she assists Nevada
residents without Health coverage in receiving quality medical services at

MAYRA
CHAVEZ
Administrative Assistant, AccessHealth Program
Mayra is an 8 year resident of the Las
Vegas area and recently joined AccessHealth as the
Administrative Assistant. Having worked in Human Resources for the
MGM Mirage properties, Mayra comes to AccessHealth with many
years of experience in customer service. Mayra’s dedication to
customer service and helping others is what makes her a great
asset to the AccessHealth team. Mayra is a single mother of a 16 month
old and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her family.
