NANCY HOOK

Executive Director

Nancy is the Executive Director of Great Basin Primary Care Association and has responsibility for development and implementation of GBPCA’s long-range and short-term goals. As the Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Hook is responsible for administration, program oversight, and all aspects of management of this non-profit agency.

Nancy is very familiar with federally qualified health centers and the issues they face. She began working with FQHCs in 1990 and has served in management positions at a PCA and a Community Health Center, as well as an FQHC board member. Nancy started a small consulting firm in 1998, and has been a frequent consultant to various community-based non-profits. The principles on which her work has been based include maximizing resources, developing a strong intersection between medical care and public health at the community level, and using sound business sense in developing capacity to serve those who may not have access to mainstream health care.

Nancy has a graduate degree in Health Services Administration from Arizona State University, College of Business.

DALENE ALTAMIRANO

Dalene Altamirano is the Director of Operations for Great Basin Primary Care Association. She ensures operational deadlines are met and that available resources are maximized and is responsible for providing direction, management and coordination of the association's daily operations as well as the implementation of the association's long-range and short-term goals.

Ms. Altamirano supervises the implementation of special projects, policy development, resource development, as well as community development. She is responsible for human resources and benefits administration, initiates personnel actions and coordinates grants and contract management. She oversees staff in coordinating special events such as the Access to Care Symposium, Safety-net Provider Day and others.

Prior to Great Basin Primary Care Association, Ms. Altamirano worked for Western Nevada Development District from July 2001 to October 2003. She held several positions from October 1991 through June 2001 where she worked for various industries including two managed care organizations and a national maintenance service company. Dalene received her Associate Degree in Business Administration in 1991 and resides in Reno, Nevada.

JUDI CORRADO

Clinical Training and Technical Assistance

Judi joined the GBPCA staff in October of 2008. She brings her knowledge and extensive work experience to serve as Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator. She has served in healthcare settings in both the private and public sector in Georgia, California and Nevada. Judi has a degree in Medical Record Science from the Medical College of Georgia and a Master’s in Health Administration from Chapman University. Judi and her husband reside in Carson City, Nevada.

Nicole joined Great Basin Primary Care Association’s Administrative Assistant. Prior to her employment with Great Basin Nicole worked as a Financial Educator at Wells Fargo Bank in Reno, Nevada. Nicole is a contagious team player who possesses excellent customer service and organizational skills and is able to communicate effectively both on a personal and business level. Nicole is currently working on her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering, reading and spending time with her two children.
