Report on Nevada's Medically Uninsured Population

Tables & Figures

There are almost 450,000 (17.1%) Nevada residents without health insurance, and this number reflects persons without insurance any part of the year.  If we count those with health insurance coverage only part of the year, it is closer to 20% - 21%.  This is unacceptable, and we need to do something about it.

The following tables indicate numbers and percentages of uninsured Nevadans by Age, Sex, Race, and Hispanic Origin for the years 2000 through 2006.  The tables are categorized by statewide and specific Nevada counties.
